This FAU course is designed for anyone who wants to appear more confident or speak professionally in front of an audience and come across as self-assured and competent. When giving a self-presentation, a short speech, or a presentation, it is important to generate curiosity and tension in the audience. Rhetorical devices, body language and voice modulation can be used to achieve this. By strengthening your personal presence, you will convey confidence and capability.

Learning Objectives
The participants:

• learn how to formulate speeches and presentations in an exciting way
• use storytelling to create enthusiasm and interest among the audience
• deploy body language and vocal variation in a targeted way
• develop memorisation techniques and memory aids
• find out how to deal with nervousness and stage fright

Preparation
1-minute self-presentation. There are tasks to complete between the individual course days.

Follow-Up
Make use of these techniques as often as possible.
